  • 4–6 sun-dried tomatoes in oil

  • 1 clove of garlic (optional)

  • 2–3 tablespoons of cream cheese or whipped cottage cheese (optional)

  • Extra virgin olive oil (you can use some of the oil from the can)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley or chopped basil to finish

How to prepare toast

1. Toast the bread

Toast the bread slices until they are crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside. You can do this in a toaster, frying pan, or griddle.

2. Optional: rub with garlic

If you like the flavor, peel the garlic clove and gently rub it on the surface of the toasted bread. It will add an aromatic touch without being overpowering.

3. Prepare the base

Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or whipped cottage cheese on the bread slices. This step is optional, but it helps add creaminess as the ingredients adhere better.

4. Add the sun-dried tomatoes
